Block ramp hydraulic structures in mountain streams and rivers: Design considerations, flow hydraulics and eco-geomorphic processes
Authors: Karol Plesiński, Artur Radecki-Pawlik, Tomas Galia & Chris Gibbins
The book is written primarily for river engineering students and professionals. It brings together information on fluvial and ecological processes that engineers should have a basic appreciation of, if structures are not to compromise river eco-geomorphic conditions. The book also brings together information on the various design options available for these structures; the synthesis we present highlights the relative merits of each design, both from engineering and eco-geomorphic perspectives.
The book results from research collaboration between the authors, focused on various aspects of ramps and eco-geomorphic processes in mountain rivers in Poland.
